Ahh my favourite city in the world. I’ve been to Venice twice and it hasn’t failed to amaze me. Transport is convenient, people are friendly and the place is packed with history, what’s not to love? Not to mention the building are absolutely beautiful. Some say it’s tiny and you can be done with it in one visit, but i’ve been there twice and i haven’t fully explored the place! I guess it’s because i spend a lot of time in one area, trying my best to find out everything about it and soak in the culture. There are many tiny alleys and pathways that don’t show up on the map and i actually can find my way around! So that’s how much time i’ve spent there haha
We arrived at night, and it’s my first time arriving so late at night. Usually i get there super early in the morning, with the hustle and bustle of the fresh food markets or just simply the crowd of tourists trying to find their way around after arriving too. Photos are blurry because my hands were shivering haha it was a winter night so yea. I must say, travelling around Venice at night in the water bus was a different experience all together. It gave me slightly eerie feeling, but yet it was also a bit “Phantom of the Opera”-ish where i was in a surreal movie set, or theme park ride, and was really interesting. Our studio apartment was one of these houses above the retail outlets. Venetian buildings don’t have escalators or lifts, (they don’t ride bicycles either but that’s just fyi haha) so i had to carry my giant luggage up 4 flights of stairs yay Take me back:( Custom made Murano Glass Charm bracelets!
I’m a lucky girl
